That combination means agents are about to do far more errands, so they'll burn far more computing. Which means the AI subscriptions you pay a flat fee for today have a cost underneath them that's rising, not falling. Which means vendors will either raise prices, add usage caps, or quietly route your requests to cheaper, dumber models.
The practical upside sits in the DeepSeek and Nvidia stories: cheaper software and machines you own let you skip the landlord. We think most small businesses running steady, repetitive agent tasks will save money on a local box within a year, and that's a bet many vendors would rather you not make.
